There was a two-day stopover on the Marshall capital island
of Majuro, waiting for the plane to Anna's island. It was arranged for
Paul to visit
a school on the island of Ejit, two little islands past Majuro Island
on the ring of islands that make up the Majuro atoll. To get to Ejit,
you go to the
end of
Majuro and walk
to the
beach. If you want to see where this is on Google Maps, click
here (Majuro
is on the right, and Ejit on the left. The beach is on the south corner
of Majuro's tip. The school is on the north tip of Ejit. You can zoom
in to see
it, or zoom
out
to see where the
Marshall Islands are)

Then you wait until a boat comes by and offers you a ride. Ejit is two
islets away, about ten minutes.

Paul is following Dartmouth Voluteer Teaching Program field director Kristin
Romberg across the island to the school. Kristin is carrying an LCD projector,
borrowed from the Ministry of Education.
