Children Should be Seen: The Image of the Child in Picture Book Art can be seen in the Getty Gallery of the Los Angeles Public Library from July 1 to September 21, 2008. The show, which includes a full page painting and painted parts from one spread of Knick-Knack Paddywhack!, originated at The Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, New York, then moved to the Eric Carle Museum in Northamption, Massachussets.

At Books of Wonder, 5:00 pm-- a presentation/celebration/signing of the book Show and Tell by Dilys Evans, examining the work of a number of well-known illustrators. Participants, besides Paul Zelinsky, will include David Wiesner and Brian Selznick, and possibly others.
